Raymond Benson, statunitense, ha un singolare curriculum multimediale: drammaturgo, creatore di videogiochi, saggista, docente di sceneggiatura, romanziere. Autore di un saggio finalista al premio Edgar, The James Bond Bedside Companion, si è imposto all'attenzione mondiale come romanziere ricreando il personaggio di James Bond, l'agente 007 di Ian Fleming, per un fortunato ciclo di romanzi pubblicati tra il 1998 e il 2003. Nel frattempo ha scritto due thriller senza Bond, Le ore del male e Face Blind, per i quali Hollywood ha già dimostrato un notevole interesse. In occasione dell'uscita italiana, in anteprima mondiale, di Le ore del male (Edizioni Addictions), riproponiamo l'intervista rilasciata nel 2003 dallo scrittore a M-Rivista del mistero, seguita dalla prefazione al romanzo.
