This publication is an introduction to basic Lhukonzo language. Lhukonzo is the language of the indigenous people of the communities of Bakonzo in Western Uganda who are called Bakonzo. Anyone who has taken the time and zeal to learn a new language has to be respected; it is a skill for life. We encourage you our readers to visit the land of Bakonzo especially for improving your grammar and building your vocabulary.People learn to speak Lhukonzo for various reasons like Bakonzo children growing up insufficiently exposed to their language, non Bakonzo people who want to learn the language for work, interaction, intermarriages, tourism, business or just for fun etc. Some word spellings might be subject to doubt, we appreciate your feedback. It should be noted that the emphasis of this book will be focused on spoken language. To this realization some phrases may be written as one word ? the way it sounds when adult Bakonzo are talking. |
