This report is the culmination of a months-long investigation overseen by the State of New York Office of the Attorney General Letitia James into allegations of misconduct and sexual harassment by New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo. The report focuses on allegations made by 11 women, nine of whom were current and former state employees at the time of the report. One of the women found to have been harassed by Cuomo was a New York State Trooper assigned to his protective detail. Attorney General Letitia James said Cuomo retaliated against at least one of the women for her allegations. This report includes details on allegations by two women that had not been previously made public prior to the report. New York State Attorney General Letitia James said, "Governor Cuomo sexually harassed current and former state employees in violation of both federal and state laws." Ms. James went on to say, "The independent investigation found that Governor Cuomo harassed multiple women, many of whom were young women, by engaging in unwanted groping, kisses, hugging, and by making inappropriate comments." |
