Biografia William Morris

Poeta, artista e agitatore politico inglese (1834-1896), tra i maggiori esponenti del preraffaellismo; promosse il movimento delle Arts and Crafts e creò egli stesso una fabbrica d'oggetti d'arte decorativa. Le sue idee influenzarono i movimenti moderni dell'architettura. Si occupò di riforme sociali, fondò la 'Lega socialista'. Arte e socialismo (1884), Arte e industria nel XIV secolo (1890). Poesie: Difesa di Ginevra ed altre poesie (1858), Il paradiso terrestre (1868-1870).
